Unit 1: From Revolution to Constitution

Summative activities:

  1. Make a time line of major events in American Revolutionary history, from the Stamp Act of 1765 to the Treaty of Paris of 1783. Write a one-sentence explanation of the importance of each event included in your selection.

  3. Divide the class into two groups to study and discuss the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States. Students should work as a group, but make each student responsible for learning and understanding a few lines of each document. Final presentations should include one group teaching a document, line by line, to the other group.
