Latino Art and History Internship
Interns will work directly with the NPG’s Curator of Latino Art and History, who is in charge of bringing into focus the contributions of Latinos to U.S. history and culture through acquisitions, exhibitions, and research. Responsibilities include researching Latino historical figures and portraits of them, as well as Latino contemporary artists working in portraiture. They may help with upcoming and current exhibitions on Latino art or history.
An intern should have a sound academic background in art history, Latino or Latin American studies, or American studies; good research and writing skills; Spanish reading and writing proficiency, and be able to use a word-processing program. Preference will be given to college graduates and those with some graduate-level work.
