A scrapbook assembled by an anonymous individual, The Book of “E” was found in an abandoned storage facility in Chicago, Illinois. The articles and pictures in it date from the period immediately after Presley’s death at the age of forty-two. His death was a shock to millions of his fans, and each year on August 15, the last full day of his life, tens of thousands gather at Graceland for a candlelight vigil to commemorate him. The Book of “E” appears to be a meticulous and heartfelt tribute to Elvis created by an intensely devoted fan.
