Summary
One of two portraits executed in 1903-1904 in Beijing for the Louisiana Purchase Exposition in St. Louis. This painting was later given to Theodore Roosevelt who presented it to the Smithsonian. Currently the property of Arthur M. Sackler Gallery, Smithsonian Institution, S2011.16.1-2a-ap.
