Are you learning to speak English? Join this weekly program that encourages visitors from all over the world – whether you have been in the United States for a week or a decade – to practice their English conversational abilities, learn new vocabulary, and meet friends.

This program begins promptly at 10 a.m. in the G St lobby.

Portraiture can spark more than just your imagination; portraits can tell us a story about someone’s life. Writing Workshops is an interactive creative writing program facilitated by local writer Willona Sloan for adults at the National Portrait Gallery.

Trivia Night

Select Tuesdays, 5:00–6:45pm

Join us at the National Portrait Gallery for a happy hour trivia night inspired, in the Kogod Courtyard, with our friends from New Columbia Pub Quiz. Participate individually or in teams of up to six people for a chance to win a prize at this free, fun event. Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase at the museum’s Courtyard Café.
