One look at her face does not reveal a typical fifteen-year-old high school sophomore, although in many ways she was. Actress and supermodel Brooke Shields, however, was an extraordinarily stunning prodigy. Her photogenic beauty was real, and she rivaled Elizabeth Taylor with her flawless features and a complexion of natural luster. Yet even as a veteran of eight Hollywood films, Shields compelled Time to ask, “Can she act?” And it then speculated that her forthcoming performance in Franco Zeffirelli’s Endless Love (1981) “should answer some of the questions.”
