Jill Lepore

Woman sitting in a library

Jill Lepore is a professor of history at Harvard University, and a staff writer for the New Yorker.  As a historian, Jill Lepore makes a habit of writing in the stories of people footnoted, or even erased, in the official accounts of history. But she also tries to find or describe their likenesses… or portraits of their contemporaries, or their descendants.
