Let’s Dance!—Dancing the Dream Tour & Pop Quiz

From Ginger Rogers to Beyoncé, and Agnes de Mille to Lady Gaga, the halls of the National Portrait Gallery are filled with a rich history of dance. Our new show, “Dancing the Dream” explores the relationship between the art of dance and American cultural identity.
Put on your dancing shoes and join us on Wednesday, January 15, for a special tour of this hot new show, and stick around afterward to put your knowledge to the test. Meet historian and exhibition curator Amy Henderson in the F Street lobby at 5:30 p.m. for a tour of the show, and then stop by the Kogod Courtyard for a Pop Quiz trivia hour all about the exhibition, beginning at 6:30pm. Pay attention on the tour—Amy may drop a few hints!
Pop Quiz is a trivia night based on the National Portrait Gallery’s expansive collection and the unique accomplishments of our sitters. Pop Quiz can be played individually or in teams of up to six people. The person or team with the highest score at the end of the night will take home a prize.
Here is a sneak peek at the ten-point bonus question for this month’s Pop Quiz:
