Portrait Competition Update

It’s been three months since the jury met for the Outwin Boochever Portrait Competition 2009 and chose just over 100 semifinalists. Now, we offer a preview of some of the artists who are advancing to the final round of judging.

These photographers, draftsmen, and painters are posting a cornucopia of entries, pictures, and videos to Portrait of an Artist. Readers can click through their interests (everything from “hot springs” to “hot beverages”) and delve further into the minds of today’s portrait artists. Best of all, the artists will continuously update their own diaries throughout the year. Lucky us!
