Diana Movius, the National Portrait Gallery’s choreographer-in-residence, returns with an original contemporary ballet performance inspired by the museum’s exhibtion, “Star Power: Photographs from Hollywood’s Golden Age by George Hurrell.” Movius is the founder and artistic director of Moveius Contemporary Ballet and its flagship arts center, Dance Loft on 14. Movius’s choreography has been featured at the Kennedy Center, Atlas Performing Arts Center, Dance Place and other venues. She trained at Charlotte Ballet with Patricia McBride and earned degrees in anthropology and dance at Stanford University.
